HANDS ON TRAINING/WORKSHOP ON FOLDSCOPE ASSEMBLY AND IMAGING: MICROSCOPY FOR ALL & A SEMINAR ON RECENT ADVANCES IN NANOBIOTECHNOLOGY

Description
The purpose of this workshop was to enlighten the participants with the latest innovation, paper based microscope developed at Stanford University by Dr. Manu Prakash. It was created from simple paper and lens that can be easily assembled at home and offers wide scope of applications in research and academic. The foldscope is an efficient educational and training tool to help students understand Physics, Chemistry, Biology and instrumentation. Moreover, it also helps to excite students in the subjects. Similarly, it is a powerful frugal innovation for advanced research as well. Ganpat University aims to spread the awareness among young research minds regarding development of novel scientific approach.
Attendee were acquainted with the basics and recent advances of nanobiotechnology, that is a discipline in which tools from nanotechnology are developed and applied to study biological phenomena. For example, nanoparticles can serve as probes, sensors or vehicles for bio molecule delivery in cellular systems
