In current situation, we all are suffering from COVID-19 pandemic. In this condition, Ganpat University, Mehsana Urban Institute of Sciences(MUIS) continues to give their efforts towards education. MUIS successfully completed online education for the students. Recently, majority of students are preparing for state government exam. Hence, the department of botany of MUIS organized two day webinar on Career Opportunity in Civil Services and Indian Forest Service for all B.Sc and M.Sc students with all respective subject.
The webinar is organized for two days. On the first day Mr. Akshar Vyas (Youngest Mamlatdar and Executive Magistrate in Jamnagar) discussed about various exam conducted by Gujarat Public Service Commission class 1 and 2 . He spoke about the syllabus and how to prepare for exams. He profoundly elaborated to all questions asked by the students. He also informed about the importance of civil service exam for science students
On Second day Mr.Nirav Makwana ( Range Forest Officer- Junagadh) took lecture on various Posts in Gujarat Forest Department. He discussed importance of botany students in field of forest department. He suggested some reference books which may help them while giving the exam. He also gave detailed information about the physical fitness exam.
It was altogether a very interactive webinar; all students were excited about it. More than 325 on first day and 225 students registered on second day.
Unfortunately due to Cyclone (Tauktae) in Gujarat and network being shut down, few students were not able to join
Dr. Amit Parikh (Principal of MUIS) began the seminar with addressing the guests, all the faculties and the students. The technical support was done by Mr.Dipak Patel and Ms. Saloni Patel, anchoring of webinar was done by Ms.Nikita Chavda, the introduction of guests was done by Dr.Jayesh Raval and lastly the vote of thanks was conveyed by Dr Sucheta Karande( HOD, Botany).
